Language Assessment Registration and referrals to English Classes
HRNC will register you for a Canadian Language Benchmark assessment (CLBPT) - (eligibility requirements need to be met prior to registration).
This Language assessment is required so that we may refer you to the most appropriate language instruction class for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) provided by the Government of Canada or other English programs funded through the Government of Saskatchewan. Access Up to Date Information
A wide variety of local and regional services are available to our newcomers. Topics include Leisure Services, maps, local and regional attractions and events.
Information relating to tutoring programs, English language classes, health, employment services, education, childcare and much more is displayed and can be made available in other languages.

- Access to computers, printing, copying faxing and telephones.

- Feel free to use the public computers for internet access, resume writing, newcomers can make local calls

Over the phone interpretation service
A a 24 hour translation service offered in approximately 170 different languages. Newcomers can access this service through The HRNC or in their own communities through the Settlement Advisor. Contact us today!

Conversation Cafe
-Held every second Wednesday afternoon. Conversation Groups provide an opportunity for newcomers to informally meet and chat over a cup of coffee or tea.

-Volunteers + newcomers share information about community services, activities, culture and their professional and family lives.

-Our Conversation Cafes aim to provide a relaxed environment where newcomers can learn more about Canadian culture and traditions whilst developing new friendships. Watch for dates around the region!

Drop-in information Sessions
The HRNC will have information session as requested from clients needs. (They will then send updates on their information session month or 3 months, when needed).
